class=\"sc_item_descr sc_promo_descr\"><p>Nedlands Uniting is die resultaat van die aansluiting van Aldersgate (Methodist) en St Paul's (Presbiteriaanse) kerke in 1977. Ons Kerk (in sy vele vorme) is al vir meer as 100 jaar deel van die Nedlands-gemeenskap, en vir 100 jaar in ons huidige ligging.<\/p>\n<p>Voor 1923 het die Metodiste en Presbiteriaanse gemeentes bymekaar gekom in Arcadian Tea Rooms (op die Nedlands voorstrand) en in lidmate se huise. Destyds was daar 35 stigtingslede van die Kerk. Die kerk is in 1957 gebou. Die fondamentsteen van die nuwe Kerk is in September 1956 deur mnr CN Langsford gel\u00ea. Argitekte Powell en Chisholm het die kerk ontwerp terwyl bouers Hobbs en Walters vir die konstruksie verantwoordelik was.<\/p>\n<p>Die Metodiste Kerk was bekend as Aldersgate Kerk. In 1977 het die Kerk saamgesmelt met St Paul's Presbyterian Church om Nedlands Uniting Church in sy huidige vorm te vorm en deel geword van die Uniting Church in Australi\u00eb.<\/p>\n<p>In 1996 het die Nedlands Uniting Church-gebou 'n erfenislys geword, met die Wes-Australiese regering wat verklaar het: \"Die storie van die Metodiste-geloof in Nedlands is beliggaam in die Kerk.
